FRANK SANTORO: Before Watchmen blacklist →

Here’s a handy list of all the comics makers who participated in Before Watchmen. I refuse to buy or read anything by these folks: Neal Adams, Rafael Albuquerque, Michael Allred, Brian Azzarello, Lee Bermejo, Jordi Bernet, Tim Bradstreet, Massimo Carnevale, Cliff Chiang, Michael Cho, Amanda…

God, this is a depressing list.

It’s an interesting list, but I feel like combining people who did Variant Covers or Coloring work with someone like JMS seems out of wack.

For a lot of freelancers, they really don’t get the option to avoid lucrative work because of their personal beliefs.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t boycott people who make decisions you don’t agree with, but I feel Before Watchmen is a little bit more complicated than Black and White.

Especially when I know some of them donated the proceeds of those covers to the Hero Initiative I believe.

Um. Wow. Way to be petty as all hell! I’d really expect more coming from an Eisner judge
